GDPR & Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting my data protection policy. You can use this website without the need to provide any personal data. If you want to purchase any photographic services, then the processing of some personal data will be necessary.

This policy explains when and why I collect personal information about people who visit my website, how I use it and keep it secure. The policy may change from time to time, and by using my website, you agree to be bound by this policy.

Who is collecting and can access the information?

  •  I will not sell or rent your information to any third parties

  •  I will not share your information with third parties for any marketing purposes.

What type of information is collected?

I obtain information through my website in three ways: anonymously, directly and by a third-party.

  1. Anonymously: The anonymous information I collect may include your IP address, whether you are using a computer, a tablet or a phone, which country you are located in, which website pages are accessed and how long you may spend looking at my website.

  2. Directly: The direct information I collect is when you make an enquiry, purchase products or purchase a photographic service. This will be your name, address, phone number and details about your event.

  3. Third Party: If you purchase a product or service from me using an online payment method, your card information is not held by me but it is collected by a third party payment processor (Stripe.com). The only information I receive from the third party are notifications that a transaction has taken place, with the name of the payee, the date and the amount of the transaction.

Where is your information stored?

Depending on how you have contacted me, your information will be stored either on my email account or on my website's servers. Rest assured that every step has been taken to ensure that the highest levels of security are in place on both of these platforms. If you have enquired via my website or proceed to book me following an email enquiry, your data will be transferred to my studio management software, Studio Ninja.

Consent

When you book me to photograph your wedding, we'll communicate several times (usually via email) before your wedding. I will send you a pre-wedding questionnaire to help me learn more about the finer details of your day, and this will also include an opportunity for you to consent (or not) to your wedding photographs being used by me for marketing purposes. This questionnaire will also give you the opportunity to opt out of any marketing communications such as newsletters.

Consent for guests

Throughout your day, I mostly use a documentary photography style and aim to get photographs of all guests, working on the assumption that everyone is happy to be photographed. Should anyone ask not to be in photographs, I will do my absolute best to achieve this, avoiding photographing them directly and omitting them from the backgrounds of indirect photos where possible. Please note that in this situation, you may notice one or two people missing from your final gallery.

Withdrawing consent

Photo consent can be withdrawn at any time, with no need to provide a reason. In this situation, please get in touch with me by email at laura@laurabarehamphotography.com to let me know.
